The Gosling team is well into the Christmas spirit this year – if you couldn’t already tell from our animated Christmas GIFts – so we decided to ‘do our bit in a Christmas knit’ and fundraise for the Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day campaign on Friday 18 December to give back and do something a bit special.
The idea is to don your best/worst/cutest/ugliest Christmas jumpers to support Save the Children, Make-A-Wish UK and Macmillan Cancer Support, but we went one step further and put our own creative twist on the day.
Josh, one of our illustrators, is also a screen-printing king and kindly designed and printed some Christmas t–shirts to help the cause. They were snapped up by the Gosling team, other colleagues and the lovely folk at Old Batford Mill, with all proceeds going to charity. We love the Nordic feel and woodland creatures.
We had a good laugh comparing Christmas attire in the studio (and posing for this photo, below) whilst raising money for a great cause, and we’re really chuffed with the £170 (£212.50 including gift aid) grand total! It feels good to know our festive t-shirts will help change lives and give hope to families in difficulty this Christmas.
Our parting Christmas animated GIFts to you
So, our Christmas t-shirts have had an airing and now with only four days left until Christmas, it’s time for us to share our final animated Christmas GIFs, which we’ve been working on with our resident illustrators, Livi and Josh.
Josh’s seasonal stamp reminds us all that today is the last day to post your Christmas cards via first class Royal Mail, so hurry! And Livi’s family of Christmas Russian dolls is nothing short of adorable.
Happy Christmas to all and best wishes for the New Year. Our studio closes at midday on Christmas Eve and reopens as normal on 4 January. We’ll see you in 2016!
