Engineers love a desk pad! Yes, it is a fact. And they loved the latest in the series of annual desk pads we produced for the Albion Applications division of our client Albion 4C Group.

For Albion Applications the desk pad is a core marketing asset. Each year a group of loyal and well known customers look forward to the latest incarnation in the series. There is always a variation, a subtle change in purpose – a todo list, a fun tip for what to do next with the used A2 sheet. This year we proposed the idea of team illustrations. We arranged a date, set up a pop-up studio and took some informal shots of the whole team. With a style in mind, one of our team turned each image into a simple, fun portrait. The Albion team loved their illustrated caricatures – they even asked us to make some screen savers. The customers loved their pads. The company values of real personal service and a non-hierarchical, non-siloed approach to business came across strongly in the approach to design and content choices.

Boston Scientific European Product Launch Brochure CRT-PBoston Scientific European product launch brochure, CRTP, SpreadOur client Boston Scientific asked us to design and print a product brochure for the launch of their next generation CRT-P product (Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy Pacemaker).

The purpose of the brochure was to highlight the key benefits of the X4 CRT-P product and position Boston Scientific as the designer of advanced Cardio Rhythm Management products that are innovative, benefit focused and evolved through clinical proof.

The print communication was designed for translation and distribution across the English, French, Italian, German and Spanish markets, to a target audience of specialist cardiologists. electrophysiologists and radiologists.

Comic Sans for Cancer : The Gosling team pokes fun at the font we love to hate

During June we heard the call:

Design a poster using Comic Sans to help Cancer Research UK.

Hell yeah!

A great cause and a simple concept. Time to have some playful (painful) design fun.

During August we celebrate the success of Comic Sans for Cancer : An exhibition using the 20th anniversary of Comic Sans to take on cancer.

And the fun we had taking part.

The Comic Sans for Cancer Exhibition was covered widely in the Press and raised over £5,500 for Cancer Research UK.
